Bio
From his early success as a founding member of the hit rock band Night Ranger (MCA Records, 16 million albums sold), Guitarist/Songwriter/Producer Jeff Watson has established himself as one of the world’s most revolutionary and technically gifted musicians. Jeff’s recent accomplishments include guitar work and an appearance in the Oscar and Grammy nominated Disney film “Enchanted,” starring Patrick Dempsey, Susan Sarandon, Amy Adams, and Julie Andrews. He is currently putting the finishing touches on an upcoming solo album. A respected member of the professional music community, Jeff has served as a Governor with the Grammy’s National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences San Francisco chapter, and recently presented at the TEC Awards alongside greats such as Robert Plant. The originator of the “8 Finger Technique” guitar fretboard tapping style, Jeff’s musical talent also made him a highly sought-after session player, contributing to records by a number of hit artists. A talented film composer, Jeff scored the full length motion picture Vertical Frontier narrated by Tom Brokaw. In the past, he composed music for the hit CBS Don Johnson TV series “Nash Bridges,” a show in which Jeff also appeared as an actor. Jeff's solo albums have been met with overwhelming critical acclaim. He also collaborated with rock legends Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow), Bob Daisley (Ozzy Osbourne), Carmine Appice, and Aynsley Dunbar for three albums with the band Mothers Army (Universal Records).
